PRE-PM follows the design of PM1 but is designed for technicians with no experience in the field – greenhorns.  It differs from the PM1 course in that this is considered a “special” course (one designed to meet a need for a specific shop – not necessarily a region) that is a full week.

We break the truck into 4 quadrants and teach the technicians to do as much as possible in each quadrant before moving to the next area of the truck.  This minimizes repetitive motion, encourages comprehensive PM skills and also aims to dramatically reduce PM times while improving PM quality.

Because of the length of this course, new technicians will receive good reinforcement of our unique PM practices.

Write-ups are discussed with supervisor/manager at the appropriate point during class so technicians learn to open a dialog based on what they find and also what their supervisors are expecting.
