Electrical Fundamentals (ELEC1) is designed to give novice and experienced techs a major boost in multiple skills related to electrical diagnostics and repairs.  Like many other courses offered by BLP, we start by learning a basic version of Ohms law and move from there to multimeter usage.  Making use of Snap Circuits, technicians build their own basic circuits by hand and test them during class, often using their own meters. 

Among the new skills gained will be rapid circuit testing, repairing wires using the solder method (short version is – butt connectors simply don’t work for long term repairs), repairing connectors, understanding relays, and so on.

There is also a set of recommended tools that are discussed.
